First off this week I want to extend a big THANKS to Citizens State Bank at Mohall, along with all their staff, for the great 100th celebration they held this past week. Their main event on Thursday, June 25th was a huge success. Kids of all ages enjoyed all the games in the Mohall City Park, as well as the three bouncy houses, and of course, everyone enjoyed visiting with the clown and having him take balloons and make them into all shapes of animals and head bands. Everyone was having fun and it was great to see all the people in the park visiting and watching the kids. A great event to bring the community together.
Then later that evening they had a free catered meal -- which was FANTASTIC! Plus throw in a piece of Kathy cake, which is always superb.
Thank you staff and management for a great event and congratulations on 100 years!
We are already heading into July -- where did June go? I can’t believe how fast the months keep passing by. It just seems like school got out and now they have already been out for a month and time is ticking away before they will be heading back.
The days seem to pass by with work, baseball, meetings, and trying to find time to just relax.
With the July 4th holiday being on Saturday, we are asking that you get all of your ads and copy to us by noon on Friday, so that we can try and get the paper finished up and out of the office ourself to enjoy the 4th of July holiday.
We hope that you all enjoy the 4th of July holiday with your family and friends and that you all have a safe 4th.
Next week is the Renville County Fair - July 8th and 9th, at the Mohall Fairgrounds. The Renville County Agent, along with the 4-H’ers have a lot of events planned for the two day event. The full schedule of events can be found on page 5 of this week’s issue of the Renville County Farmer. There are plenty of activities for the whole family.
They are always looking for more people to enter at the fair. If you bake, sew, have beautiful plants or vegetables from your garden, why not enter something. You can’t win if you don’t try, and they are happy to have the entries.
Hope to see you at the Fair July 8th and 9th here in Mohall!
The New Horizons Church of the Nazarene in Mohall is hosting a Kickball/Root Beer Float event TONIGHT, July 1st at the Church. The event is open to the whole community and they would like to see a lot of people at the event. Bring your whole family, and come and enjoy some fun, friendly kickball and then enjoy a refreshing Root Beer Float. Plus, it’s all FREE!
This is one of my busy months for family birthdays and anniversaries. Today, July 1st is my niece Lindsay’s birthday; on Sunday, July 5th, my great-nephew, Greyson Mahany, will celebrate his birthday. Both of them live in Minot; July 6th is my nephews’ birthdays, Owen and Adam Schultz of MN; July 8th is my sister, Ramona’s, birthday, along with my nephew’s wife, Nancy, both of MN; and July 6th is my Aunt and Uncle Susie and Dale Erickson’s anniversary. Love to you all, I hope you each enjoy your special day!

not interested in fame.
Unassuming suits us fine,
no need to see our name.
Satisfied and quite content
to SHARE the ol’ spotlight.
