So gather up those young children and hippity, hoppity over to the MLS-Mohall School on Saturday, April 4th for a fun filled morning.

Grant program for businesses offered through the Renville County JDA
Submitted by Kristy Titus
Renville County JDA Coordinator

The Renville County Job Development Authority (JDA) is offering a new grant program to businesses within Renville County. The Store Front Renovation Grant is designed to encourage the occupancy and renovation of vacant buildings, improve the image and appearance of main streets and high traffic areas, and provide employment opportunities and stimulate the growth of businesses within the county.

The grant must have a 75% private match. The Renville County JDA will match the other 25%, up to a maximum of $1,000.00. Applicants may apply for the grant once every three years. Funds are to be used to enhance the property’s exterior.

The Renville County JDA was created in September of 1999 to address the critical issues of economic development and diversification in rural Renville County. The development fund is intended to provide interest free loan financing to businesses that desire to begin, expand, or locate to Renville County.

For more information on the Store Front Renovation Grant, or loan financing, contact Kristy Titus, Renville Count Community Development Coordinator at 756-6288.
