Bethel Crossed Bows 2014 season
ends with tournament and pizza party

The Bethel Crossed Bows 2014 season ended Friday the 4th of April with a tournament and pizza party. There was a good turnout for the event, with twenty-two young people who took part. The kids always have a great time and look forward to this event each year.

After the tournament, everyone met in the Fellowship Hall for pizza while checking out a picture slideshow of the weekly meets. Awards were handed out along with caps embroidered with the Crossed Bows logo and a scripture reference. Gift certificates were awarded to the first, second, and third place winners of each group.

Twenty-two youth participated in the year end tournament held at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church on Friday, April 4th.

There was a drawing for a knife that had been made and donated by Jerry Krause of Bottineau. Ken Roed was the lucky recipient of that.

The weekly meets always included a short devotional story along with a prayer before the shooting began. While sharpening their skills at the sport of archery and having fun is certainly an aim of the club, their "bullseye", is that they may reflect and share Christ's love with all who attend.

First, second, and third place winners in each group were presented with gift certificates following the year end tournament.

Appreciation was extended to the coordinators, helpers, parents, and all who took part to make this season a great success.

Minnie (Feland) Nelson
celebrates her 104th birthday

By Elaine Feland

On Friday, March 28th, Minnie Marie Feland Nelson celebrated her 104th birthday. To help her celebrate, many of her friends and relatives gathered to hug her, plant kisses on her cheeks, and visit with this remarkable lady. She will often shake her head and tell you she doesn't know why she is still here. The answer is of course in God's hands. She is a woman of great faith and will hold nothing back in telling you about her love for Jesus and asking you about your relationship with Him.
She didn't have children of her own, but I dare say she has had a great many spiritual children, besides being Taunte to a horde of nieces and nephews, of which I'm happy to say I am one of that group.
Happy birthday dear Minnie, may your joy continue through this coming year, you are much loved.
