I’m not sure whether March came in like a lamb or a lion. To me, it was still cold, although not as cold as the past few days had been, and there was some wind, but again, not as strong as the days prior. But I guess it doesn’t really matter how it came in, it is here!

Many around the state felt the heartbreak and sorrow for the community of Ray this past week. On Monday evening three young boys, all members of their boys’ basketball team (one senior and two juniors), were tragically killed in an automobile accident. It had been snowing and there were icy road conditions in that area and their car was hit by a Peterbilt semi. People here in this area rallied around the Ray community as they support them by wearing lime green to their respective district tournaments which began last Friday. There were many lime green t-shirts, socks, shoe laces, etc. being worn. Many of the t-shirts even had the saying “Pray for Ray” on them, along with the numbers of the three boys.

My heart goes out to their parents, their community, their classmates, and their teammates. May God help them all through this trying time.

My birthday wishes this week go out to my niece, Amber Wimmer of CA on the 5th; and to my sister, Barb Johnson of Antler on the 9th. Love and best wishes to both of you. Hope you enjoy your special day!
