Glenburn FFA students carve
pumpkins for Glenburn’s Main Street

Kiaya Forbes, Grace Johnson, and Megan Berdahl are hard at work carving their pumpkins.

The newly formed Glenburn FFA Chapter decided to help get the town in the holiday spirit this year by carving pumpkins. The members of the FFA chapter stayed after school on Friday October 30th, 2015 to carve the pumpkins. After the pumpkins were complete, the members lined them on Glenburn’s Main Street.

FFA members are excited to continue adding holiday spirit to the town through decorations for each holiday.

Members are currently looking forward to volunteering at a soup kitchen in November.

Advisor for the Glenburn FFA Chapter is Christina Peterson.

On Friday, October 24th through Sunday, November 1st, members of the Mohall FFA Chapter had the opportunity to travel to Louisville, Kentucky to attend the 88th annual National FFA Convention and Expo. Among the 65,000 members, Shannon Asheim, Hayley Southam, Emily Brendsel, Trevor Savelkoul, Chase Driscoll, Grace Solemsaas, Riley Strand, and Advisor Dustin Newgard represented the Mohall FFA Chapter.

Some of the places visited during the Convention and Expo were the Caterpillar Manufacturer, Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, Louisville Slugger, and Louisville Science Center. The students also had the opportunity to ride a riverboat on the Ohio River and attended the Convention and Expo.

One of their favorite parts of the trip was attending the different sessions each night, where they learned how to better their leadership skills while listening to inspiring speakers.

The Mohall FFA Chapter wishes to extend their appreciation to Mr. Newgard for his support. His guidance has been greatly appreciated.
