January 18, 1943 to August 12, 2015

Dianne Kay Broden, 72, Mohall, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at a Mohall nursing home.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall. Burial will be in the Mohall Community Cemetery, Mohall.

Visitation is today, Wednesday, August 19th from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A family service will be held Wednesday evening, August 19, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall.

Officiating at the services will be Reverend Todd Olson. Organist will be Shanette Haarsager.

Casketbearers are: David Stark, Brian Eriksmoen, Jack Bohm, Mike Resch, Curt Aalund, Gene Pfefferkorn, and Dan Witteman.

Dianne was born January 18, 1943, in Minot, a daughter of E. Chester and Vivian (Witteman) McCarroll. She was raised on a farm along the Souris (Mouse) River near Tolley. She attended Tolley Public School her elementary years, Grover Township School for 7th and 8th grade, 9th grade at Ramstad Junior High, Minot, and graduated from Minot High School in 1961. She completed one year of college at Minot State College. She worked at Dayton’s in Minneapolis from 1964 to 1965.

She married Ronald Broden on April 15, 1966, at the United Methodist Church in Mohall. She assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm. She cared for numerous farm animals and bottle fed many of them. She always had a little dog following her around as she worked on the farm. Ronald died October 19, 2008. Dianne continued to live on the farm until entering the Good Samaritan Society, Mohall, one year ago.

Dianne was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall. She loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of reading, animals, gardening, flowers, cooking, canning, and playing board games and card games.

Survivors include her children, Donald (Joetta) Broden, Mohall, Lena (Joel) Bohm, Loraine, and Leslee Broden, Mohall; two grandchildren; sisters, Melody (Richard) Becker, Las Vegas, NV, and Michelle Navarette, Odessa, TX; mother, Vivian McCarroll, Las Vegas, NV; brother-in-law, Roger Yale, Tolley; sister-in-law, Doris Broden, Mohall; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dianne was preceded in death by her father; husband; and sister, Margie Yale.

Jean Krohn-Jaman, age 79, of Minot, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 in a Minot nursing home.

William Burke Allen, 87, Grand Forks, formerly of Mohall, died Monday, January 19, 2015, at a Grand Forks hospital.

Elda Mae Steen, 83, Minot, formerly of Maxbass and Glenburn, entered her heavenly home Sunday, February 15, 2015, from Trinity Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Mathilda “Tillie” Knutson, 90, Kenmare, died Sunday, February 15, 2015, at a Kenmare hospital.

Merle Jeanne Haerter, 86, passed away on February 18, 2015 at her home.

Larry Berglof, 78, Apache Junction, AZ died Thursday, February 19, 2015 in his home surrounded by family.

Donna Strand, 87, Minot, and formerly of Tolley, ND, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Helen Josephine Klatt, 90, Rugby and formerly of Mohall, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 in a Rugby nursing home.

Daniel J. Dougherty, 87, of Detroit Lakes, MN died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Essentia Health - Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes, MN.

Surrounded by his loving family, Arnold Joseph Brilz, 84, formerly of Mohall and Minot, ND, left this world from the Highmore Healthcare Facility in Highmore, South Dakota on Friday, March 6, 2015 to join his Heavenly Father.

Phyllis Richardson, 82, Minot, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 11, 2015, surrounded by her loving family in her daughter’s home in Minot.

Collin Brian Heath, 31, died March 14, 2015, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, TX 10 hours following emergency surgery for a severe kidney infection.

Father Kenneth Wald, 83, Minot, ND, formerly of Bismarck and Douglas, completed his journey to meet his Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Ardes Emogene Spaulding, of Huron, South Dakota, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at the age of 90.

On March 27th, 2015, MaryAnn E. Haskins passed away peacefully after suffering from a stroke in June 2014.

Joann Centanaro, 78, Mohall, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at a Mohall nursing home.

Chad D. Huber, 49, of Janesville, WI died in Janesville on Sunday, March 29, 2015.
