Mohall’s 1st Street SE in front of
the Clinic is now open to the public

On Friday, July 17th, Bechtold Paving was in Mohall to put on the final layer of blacktop on 1st Street SE just north of Trinity Community Clinic - Mohall. The Clinic was closed that afternoon so that they could also apply the hot bituminous surface overlay in the parking lot at the Clinic.

Work on Mohall’s 1st Street SE project began on Monday, June 8th. There had been problems with this portion of street for several years, with some of those problems being drainage and the street breaking up. The Mohall City Council decided to move forward with the project and were to open bids on August 13th, but none were received. Bids were opened for the second time on Thursday, April 9th, with two bids being submitted. Farden Construction, Inc. submitted the lowest bid of $88,760.25 for the base bid and $24,000 for the alternate bid, which was for the hot bituminous pavement parking lot overlay which the RBM Hospital Board is paying for.

That street was opened up for public use again on Monday, July 20th.
