MLS finishes 8th at Glenburn Tournament
The Mohall Lansford Sherwood 7th graders participated in the Glenburn 7th Grade Tournament on Saturday, March 14th.

In their opening round game, MLS played Dunseith and lost to the Dragons by a score of 35 to 29. Scoring for the Mavericks: Riley Vendsel 13, Henry Savelkoul 10, Adam Southam 4, and Garrett Schmidt 2.

MLS received a bye in the consolation round, due to the bye in the opening round games.

The Mavericks then faced Our Redeemer’s in the 7th and 8th place game. Our Redeemer’s won that game, as they defeated the Mavericks 50 to 28. Scoring for MLS: Henry Savelkoul 8, Riley Vendsel 6, Adam Southam 6, Garrett Schmidt 4, Braeden Volk 2, and Kaleb Foltyn 2.


MLS 8th graders finish 2nd at DLB Tourney
On Friday and Saturday, March 13th and 14th, the MLS Mavericks participated in an 8th grade tournament hosted by DesLacs/Burlington.

The Mavericks’ opening round game was against South Prairie, with the Mavericks coming out on top by a score of 58 to 20. Individual scoring for MLS: Jameson Vetter 16, Dalton Moberg 13, Charles Eriksmoen 12, Riley Strand 8, and Jacob Gates 6.

MLS then moved on to the semi-final round and matched up with the host team, DesLacs/Burlington. The Mavericks edged out the Lakers by one point, 43 to 42. Scoring for MLS: Jameson Vetter 14, Charles Eriksmoen 9, Jacob Gates 8, Dalton Moberg 8, Riley Strand 2, and Ethan Southam 2.

The Mavericks advanced to the championship game and faced Velva for the title. Velva went home the champions as they defeated the Mavericks 39 to 25. Individual scoring for the Mavericks: Jacob Gates 10, Charles Eriksmoen 5, Ethan Southam 4, Riley Strand 2, Zane Wenstad 2, and Dalton Moberg 2.

MLS vs. Bottineau

The MLS 8th graders traveled to Bottineau on Tuesday, March 10th for a game against the Braves. MLS was defeated in the game, as Bottineau won 44 to 28.

Individual scoring for the Mavericks: Dalton Moberg 11, Riley Strand 7, Jacob Gates 4, Charlie Eriksmoen 4, and Jamison Vetter 2.
